In memory of Alice, daughter of Sir Anthony Irby of Holland in Lincolnshire, Kt, who was first marryed to Francis Jermy, Esqre, by whom she had eight children, 5 sonns and 3 daughters; after whose death she continued a widow neare 6 yeares, and then was marryed to Edmund de Grey, Esqre, of Merton Family in the County of Norff., with whom she lived about 12 years, and died the 30 th day of July, 1665, about ye age of 56 yeares, and was interred near her first husband in the chancell of Gunton, by her second husband, who, sensible of her vertue and affection, appointed this monument.
