Attractively placed within a moat, crossed by a brick bridge. 4 bays facing west, with bay windows at either end; south front with central 2 storey porch. The whole is attractive neo-Gothick. The estate was purchased in 1642 by Sir Thomas Richardson, and it descended by marriage, to William Jermy, who died sin prole in 1752. The house was modified by William Wilkins in 1792 but altered in neo-Tudor style by Rev. George Preston. The estate passed by marriage to the Gwyn family in 1868. They sold it in 1920.
